Narrative of the study of credit management policies in the Islamic banking industry (the case study of small and medium businesses)

Abstract

Credit guidance in financing small and medium-sized businesses is important in the transformation and strengthening of the country's production sector, and if it is not addressed despite sufficient liquidity in the country, the reasons for its failure to be directed towards production will not be understood. The main objective of this study is to examine the credit guidance in financing small and medium-sized businesses in Iran, which examines the challenges and policy solutions in the Islamic banking industry for financing small and medium-sized enterprises using the problem-oriented narrative research method. Considering the dynamics of the research problem, a three-layer analysis technique was used to identify the problem and the existing nodes among the main actors. In this regard, using a purposeful sampling strategy of the judgment type, a statistical sample was obtained for each group of actors, and a three-layer analysis of the perceptions, structure, and behavior of the main actors of the research was conducted. Then, in accordance with the findings validated through the focus group, the research problem was narrated and finally, according to the results obtained, in order to overcome the current situation and improve the performance of the banking and monetary system, it was pointed out to make the banking network more resilient, review the mandatory facilities, reduce the government's financial power over the banking network, increase the efficiency of the facilitation system, and strike a balance between monetary policies and support for production.
