• Islamic Financial Research considers for publication only articles prepared in one of the following formats:
• Research Article
  A research article is a scholarly paper based on original research and new data. The author(s) design, conduct, and analyze the study directly. Research articles present findings that have not been previously reported independently and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in a specific field. 
  
• Review Article
  A review article is a scholarly paper that does not report new experimental or empirical data. It critically collects, analyzes, compares, and synthesizes previous research in a specific field. The purpose of a review article is to map the current state of knowledge, identify research gaps, and suggest directions for future studies.
  
• Conceptual and Analytical Article
  A conceptual and analytical article is a scholarly paper that does not report new experimental or empirical data but develops and analyzes ideas, frameworks, or theories within a specific field. Such articles aim to enhance understanding, propose new models or perspectives, and provide scientifically grounded insights that can guide future research, policy-making, or practical applications. Conceptual articles demonstrate originality of reasoning and integration of existing knowledge, making a significant contribution to the enrichment and advancement of academic discourse.
  

• Authors Authors are expected to hold an academic rank or be affiliated with a recognized national or international research, academic, or educational institution.
• Independent researchers and non-academic authors may also submit manuscripts, provided they demonstrate sufficient scientific competence and the article meets the quality standards of the journal, as determined by the Editor-in-Chief.

• To ensure fairness in publication and protect the rights of all contributors, Islamic Financial Research limits each author—whether corresponding or co-author—to a maximum of two articles per year, which must appear in non-consecutive issues.

• All citations in this journal must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition, using in-text citations and a reference list. Authors are required to format all references—both in-text and in the reference list—exclusively according to this style.

• All articles in Islamic Financial Research are published exclusively online through the journal’s official website.

  Other Policies and Conditions

   

• A submitted manuscript must be exclusively submitted to Islamic Financial Research at any given time and must not be under consideration by another journal until the final decision is announced.
  
• The manuscript, or any substantial part of it, must not have been previously published in any domestic or international scientific journal or medium, in any language.
  
• All correspondence regarding the manuscript will be conducted exclusively with the corresponding author. The journal assumes no obligation to communicate directly with other co-authors.
  
• The journal reserves the right to make formal, linguistic, and technical edits to accepted manuscripts in accordance with standard academic and editorial practices.
  
• The subject matter and content of submitted manuscripts must align with the journal’s aims, scope, and scientific objectives.
  
• Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate sufficient academic originality, be based on the authors’ own research, and provide innovation and scholarly value within their specialized field.
  
• During the preparation and submission of manuscripts, the rights of all research contributors must be respected. Responsibility for ensuring this rests with the corresponding author.
  
• If the manuscript is derived from a funded research project, a master’s thesis, a doctoral dissertation, or any research supported financially or institutionally, the corresponding author must clearly disclose this information in the authors’ declaration form.
  
• Authors are required to comply with all applicable national laws and regulations, publication and research ethics principles, including the rights of research participants, organizations, and institutions; copyright laws; the Law on Prevention and Combating of Scientific Misconduct and its Implementing Regulations; directives of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology; and the ethical charter of the journal’s sponsoring university.

Any form of plagiarism, research misconduct, data fabrication or falsification, simultaneous submission, or redundant publication constitutes a violation of publication ethics. In cases where such misconduct is confirmed, the journal will take appropriate action, including retraction or withdrawal of the article, in accordance with publication ethics standards.
